This was a photograph I took over the summer. It was not until the recent blizzard that I was inspired to do something more with it. This is my interpretation of the photograph. The colors are a bit off becuase of my camera's flash.
very good audrey. I only recommend that you take the values further. Think about what we have done in class. Do you see where you can MERGE shadows? Look at rocks?bricks to the left. It is much darker in your photo. If you darken that area you will emphasize the figure more.I like how you lightened the far background. That de-emphasizes the back and brings more attention to your face. Photographs don't make those decisions. That is one way you can make drawings from pictures fresher and not so obviously copies. With our new 3 day weekend revisit your drawing and you will make the diffference between a good drawing to a GREAT one.
